FAQs

Can I just call in to your office to ask some initial questions?

You are always welcome to call, but I am not always able to answer or return your call quickly. I strongly suggest that if you have additional questions to the ones answered on this page, that you consider booking a FREE 15 minute "discovery" phone call via the Appointments page of this website, so that I can give you a full 15 minutes of my attention at a time when I can focus on your needs.

Do you work with adults as well as children?

Absolutely!

Do you work with seniors?

Absolutely! There are some unique digestive differences for seniors, and I am experienced in adapting my approach to ensure better outcomes for this population.

Do you see clients in-person?

Yes, as long as you are in the Vancouver area, I am happy to come for a house-call appointment.

Do you work with clients remotely or long distance?

All the time. Zoom is a very helpful tool!

Will my insurance over your services?

Plans vary, so please check that your plan's wording includes coverage specifically for "nutritionist".

Does BC Autism Funding cover your services?

Sadly, it does not. Homeschooling families are often able to devote a portion of their homeschool funding to a nutrition consultation/education appointment.

Do you work with blood test results?

Yes, I welcome clients to share recent bloodwork or other testing they have done with medical practitioners. This information can be valuable to help identify or confirm suspected nutrient deficiencies and immune challenges

Do you use supplements?

Yes. I will provide all clients with specific supplement recommendations based on symptoms, deficiencies, and existing test results. Supplementation for children and seniors will consider their unique needs (e.g. liquids / powders). When clients are already using supplementation, I will advise on their current protocol, and augment with any necessary additions.

How long do most of your clients follow the GAPS Diet protocol for?

That depends. I have some clients who are ready to move beyond the GAPS Diet after a few months, and others who choose to stay on a variation of the protocol for many years, because it continues to provide benefit.
